I will confess, these are pretty boring videos. I mostly wanted to test my ability to create something and upload it to YouTube. But they're Whaler-content, so I figured if anyone would want to see them (which seems unlikely), it would be you guys. Crusing: Warning, the background noise on this one is a bit much. A little less so on this one

Don't sell yourself short. That "Backing the trailer" video is anything but boring. |

I liked the "backing" video the best. Did you notice the homeless man duck behind the fence when you started backing? Is it a bad area? rich/Binkie |

Thanks alot, Rich - I had to watch that video two more times just to confirm that you were joking. Peter, honestly, the videos are better than most of the other stuff going on around here lately, like arguing about which outboard manufacturer has laid off the most workers. |

Haha! I've been noticing the same thing. I can't tell you how many times I watched the video trying to figure out who was hiding in my alley. |

I actually made another video backing the trailer in where I didn't have to stop and pull foward, which I was pretty impressed with given that it was my first time parking it in that spot. But when the console hit the cross-member and made a loud noise, I said, "Oh $#!+" and got out to check on it with the camera still rolling. Funny, but not exactly something I wanted to share. |

Looks like evryone lives in their own stackade - but I sure do like the tent set up for the Whaler at Fort pglein! And nice job backing her in there too. PS - I recommend 6-8 foot pikes if it gets any worse around there. Maybe considering you have a Whaler, a moat with a draw bridge. ;-) |

Pete, It's nice to see the Outrage is snug as a bug in a rug when you are not on the water. As far as the on the water videos, anytime I can see a Whaler on the water, especially on Puget Sound (even if it is only the bow and rail), I want to see it. I would rather it was my personal point of view on my boat, but I'll take it where I can get it. Doug PS.... the boat is looking good. |

No joke. If you only watch the backing video once or twice you will not see the homeless man behind the fence. If you watch it more than 4 times, you can see him poking his head out and mouthing the words "what the--", then when he sees the camera he ducks back in. I think he probably lives in the boat tent. rich/Binkie |

on utube the videos look very sharp viewed at small screen size, sharper than any I've ever viewed on utube. is your camcorder one of the HD type? JimL |

You guys do realize that's the alley BEHIND my house, right? Not the front. |

The videos were taken with my Nikon point-and-shoot 8mp digital camera in the video mode. The main difference is that they are not downgraded or compressed at all before being uploaded to YouTube. |

Ok, Tom, I think I finally figured out what you meant. When I watched the video, I guess it does kind of look like I have a concrete wall, LOL. No, that's actually just a very weathered cedar fence. I'm currently in the process of ripping it down and rebuilding it. |

It wasn't particularly nice weather out last weekend either. I saw gust up to 35 knots in Colvos passage on Saturday. (Of which I spent most of my day pressure washing the bottom of one of my boats.) I guess that's boating in November. |
