Did Tony drive all the way down to Central-Coast California and buy a 1982 Montauk? |

Thanks, Sheila, to you and Jeff for another lead, but yes, I bought CW member Estero's boat. I'm posting photos on another thread here in the GAM forum.Tony |

Yahoo! Good for you both! It's a testimony to the friendships that this site facilitates. I had a Facebook chat message from Jeff R. last night, looking for Tony's cell phone number so he could contact him about a boat prospect. While Jeff and I were chatting online, I got a Facebook message from Pete B: "Jeff's trying to reach you to get Tony's number." Pete and I ended up spending an hour on the phone last night, catching up. It was great. |

You got that right, Sheila, about this website. And you better not miss our NorCal rendezvous this year, if for no other reason that to check out my new-to-me Montauk and give me one of them USCG safety stickers if I don't, as usual, forget to replace my out-dated flares.Tony |

Hey, Tony....I hope we'll make it! I need to requalify for vessel exams before I can give you that sticker. Got busy doing other things and didn't keep up my currency. Another testimony to the site: Yesterday I got an email from the man who sold me the Revenge back in 2004. (I found the boat here, you may recall). Just a note to wish us a Merry Christmas. :) |

Hey Tony(!) - Your own thread is so crowded with congratulatory messages I thought I'd post here -That is an absolutely amazing and beautiful purchase that will look astonishingly perfect next to the Strike 3. I'll bet the 3 will be perfectly happy with her new brother and your partners will be very accommodating to the growth in your "pod" with this very fine specimen of a Whaler(!). May you ALL enjoy a HALE, HEARTY & HEALTHY NEW YEAR!!!! And may the Pacific ever live up to it's name 'neath your hulls as same the Whaler to lift and keep safe your souls. Max |

Back atcha, Max. You're a clever wag, so who can ever tell whether you're goofin' around or not, but the same to you and to all of us Whaler enthusiasts at this great website. Best to everyone during the holiday season and beyond, peace on Earth and goodwill to men and women everywhere.Tony |
