I was doing some shopping for the Montauk today at Marine Surplus in Sarasota, FL and I heard a voice I recognized. Looked around and there he was, John Griviskis from Ship Shape. I talked to him for a few minutes about Whalers and he asked if I would be an 'extra' in his show about the store. So, I will be the guy walking down the isle looking at a control cable box. The show will air around the end of January. They said I will be in the commercial for the store too. Marine Surplus is a sponser so they were filming a commercial for them at the same time.

He is very friendly and I had someone take a picture with my cell phone of us.

So were you really looking for a control box or is this your acting debut? Talk about being in the right place at the right time!

See if you can get a couple of lines to say, you know like Kramer in the Woody Alan movie; "These pretzels are making me thirsty". This may be a start for you, I always wanted to be a movie star, like say Bob Duvall, or a singer like Steve Perry, or a piano player like Liberace, oh well, I never got the breaks like your getting, Bummer!

At the end of your lines say "stay thirsty my friends".

Great store, I get there every time I get to my place in Ruskin Fl. They even send thing to me in Ohio. My dad called it his nuts and bolt store.

Tell him to quit repeating other people's lines...he sounds like a preschool teacher.

EPOXY REP NAMED BOB: "John, I am going to use a foam brush for applying this marine epoxy right up to the masking tape I'll pull off later..."

JOHN (in Wrestler's position):"Let's see, you are going to use a FOAM BRUSH to apply the MARINE epoxy....pause...right up to the masking tape...and theN you will PULL OFF the masking tape later..."

EPOXY REP NAMED BOB: "That's right, John"

JOHN (Turns toward camera): "Bob will be using a FOAM BRUSH to apply the epoxy up to the masking tape."

Man, I love the big man but he burns up so much air time repeating stuff - he could put tons more into those shoots.

Have fun with it Len - I can't find him on either cable channels here and we have a ton of boats in Mich.
