I am interested in recommendations on a full boat cover for a 1988 Outrage 20 with Whaler Drive. I shrink-wrap the boat for the winter (I am in MA) but would like a fabric cover so that in early Spring I can remove the shrink-wrap and work on the boat, yet still keep it covered when not performing spring maintenance. I do not need the cover for trailering or during the summer season.
I spoke to the folks at Mills and while they are very nice their price is more than I can afford. The Mills cover was around $1200. My sense is that I need to look at pre-made covers to stay within my budget. I would be interested in suggestions from folks have a pre-made cover. I would love to know the manufacturer and if you have the same whaler as mine, the cover’s model number.

I have purchased two covers from Canvas Company on ebay. They offer great covers at a fantastic price. My first purchase was for my Outrage 22. I think I paid about $170 for it, including shipping. I had to send it back because it was a little too short. Their covers are designed for boats with a pointed bow. I exchanged it for a 24' cover and it fits great. I purchased a cover from them a few weeks ago for a 20' center console. Their asking price was $175. They accepted my offer of $115. Shipping was about $30. The quality of the covers are fantastic. I have not found a better deal out there.

Are there any pics of your 20' Whaler Drive Outrage on this site from a prior thread? I've owned a 20' Outrage but never even seen the Whaler Drive version on a 20' model. (Other than in a brochure).
If you ever decide to sell I'd sure like to hear about it.
Believe or not I've had some nice covers that fit Whalers very well that bought from Cabelas. You might be able to find a standard cover from Cabelas for a standard transom model and have a local shop modify/add on to it for the Whaler Drive. Might be worth looking into anyway.
