Hi, I posted on 2/25/10 about my evinrude 100hp V4. Now i got some photos to help all of you who tried the last time. The model is E100WMPLV. I verified it is correct. The decals where blue and red and said super V4 on each side. Please take a look at some photos at http://s924.photobucket.com/albums/ad86/lioroger There are some photos of the hood after painting and one in which the decals are partially seen. I bought this boat in 1995 and was told it is a Montauk. After learning more about Boston Whalers I am now almost sure it is a Nausset. It was blue inside and had a wood console. the engine has allways run perfectly. I am now at the end of my remodeling project. |

Mid 80's commercial model. Should have a V6 gearcase as well. |

The decal would put that motor anywhere from 1984 to 1987. Assuming it has the original commercial gearcase, the commercial motor has a 2.26:1 gear ratio. The recrational 90 HP motor has a gearcase with a 2.00:1 ratio. |

Then the "Super V4" label on the old decals might explain the V6 gearcase. What would be the difference between commercial and recreational models in addition to the gearcase? Thanks |
