Dave, I have been looking at radar arched for my Temptation. When searching the Atlantic towers website, I came across a picture of your previous boat, Gambler. I am considering a similar arch but will likely install it with the arch leaning forward. In any event, I would like to hear your (or anyone else's) opinion of thier product. Apparently, Atlantic Towers has an :out of the box" product appropriately called "Tower in a Box", or can custom make one, both about the same price. How would you rate their product, hardware, stability, etc? Joe

Joe -I would give them an A+ on materials and workmanship. The attachment is up to the installer (you). Mine was customized to my specifications - I took the measurements, etc. There were a couple mistakes (on my end) that were minor, but I did notice them..so it's not the same as a professional installation. If I were to do it again, I'd add a third "ladder step" on the side of the arch, and I'd ask them to add some billets for additional rigidity. I ended up having some welded on (under warranty) locally after the first year. |

Dave--thanks. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very helpful, and willing to please. She recommended an additional 3rd welded support strut. Anyway, thought the prices were reasonable...less than $1,300 for the custom fabricated unit. Thanks for the comments. |

No problem.Just "get it done" before boat show season - they are a small shop and seem to be hard to get hold of when they're traveling a lot for the season. |
