Author Topic:   Source for Replacement Spotlight

A spotlight has a 4.5-inch reflector with a replaceable 55w bulb inside. The light is held in place with a retaining ring made out of stainless steel. I thought it would be easy enough to find a replacement, but it is proving to be very difficult. As you can see the light is very corroded inside and out, so just replacing the bulb is not an option. There are no markings of a brand or manufacturer anywhere on it. The lens has some numbers but no one here has been able to cross reference them with any luck. Any help will be great.

ukuslayer--check out the link below. It looks like the same light you have; maybe they have parts, too. Or get a new one for about $88 plus shipping (and customs?).

Good luck.

HawaiianWhaler,

Thanks for the link. It sure looks like it, I will be sending an email to find out if they sell only the bulb or if I have to buy the whole assembly. Again thanks for finding that.

Aloha,

Sean

ukuslayer - I'm glad that link might help. May I suggest that when you email them that you ask them to tell you who the manufacturer is, and provide a model number if available? That way, you can perhaps find other sources for parts or the whole assembly. Good luck.

Have you been slaying the uku lately? Trolling for pelagics has been so slow around Oahu lately that we're thinking of going to the Banks to try dropping for some uku rather than keep burning gas hunting for signs of life on the surface. Either that or stay home and surf the internet like we're doing on this fine Sunday...

Tight lines and aloha.
