Today's the day, cancel everything, hitch up and come on over. Jimh, no chop, no waves, free beer, mermaids -
I could take the 13 to Milwaukee - (would need to check NOAA) Just dreaming, don't go buck wild on me buckalew

Pete:Had a good friend's funeral yesterday. He was 51 years old and died of cancer. He was into motorcycles,boating, extreme skiing etc. His motto was to live for today. He left behind a wife, three children and two grand kids.After the funeral it was a beautiful day with the temps in the mid-eighties. I took my four year old son out on the 17 ft. outrage for a spin on Lake St. Clair just outside of Detroit. My son is always telling me to go fast, which I always comply with unless his sister is on board. We were cruising when all of a sudden the sun appeared from behind a cloud and it was brillant in color. I felt some extreme sensations pulsating thru my body, which I attributed to my friend's passing away. I pushed the throttle as far down as possible in his honor.

What a cool dude. Too young and too much to live for. The Orthodox Church, oldest Christian religion, believes that the departed is with us for a time after death. I have reason to believe that absolutely and I am not some religious zealot. My bet is you are right. There are some things that cannot be explained - mysteries. Sorry about your loss. I had three the last two weeks and one more possible - price paid for big families and lots of friends.
We had a wonderful day/night on the water and the winds did pick up later in the afternoon - evening.
