Not very whaler related, but I thought I would give it a shot:
Any on this forum have good/bad comments about purchasing from www.greatlakesskipper.com . They appear to have a quite a few out of stock items.
I found some "out of production" parts for a non-whaler that I would like to buy, but couldn't find any online feedback/reviews of the site. I am hoping that someone here has some feedback.

I have purchased from them several times. Never a problem,I was shopping online at a major auction site and they were the seller. I have found hardware and gauges that were well priced. I paid with Paypal and the items were quickly shipped.

They seem to have a large selection and aggressive prices.

Used them many times. Stuff was always what I needed and NOS stuff. Prices were great sometimes they give you break on shipping with multiple items purchased. Very helpful over the phone too

I have seen some of their stuff on eBay for years, sometimes I think their prices are good, sometimes high.
Made one purchase from one of their businesses with a different name and had a problem, they shipped someone else's stuff to me and did not know where to ship my stuff. One phone call fixed everything at no additional cost to me. I would recommend them. Tom

I've shopped their bricks and mortar store in Franklin, WI a number of times successfully and expect the same operators to be helpful online.

Recently, I purchased some product from Great Lakes Skipper over the telephone, and in the end was not what I expected. While their policy, is pretty strict in terms of returns, after some discussion regarding the misunderstanding, they refunded me the entire amount plus shipping. I would recommend this company, and I offered to write this review because they made this one time exception to their return policy.
In the future, for a person who does not do a lot of online purchases, Great Lakes Skipper recommends that return policies should be carefully reviewed by any consumer that orders product thru an online store. Not only when purchasing on the phone, but double checking the policies online. Thank you Great Lake Skippers for educating ,me on internet purchasing. I will recommend you to my friends
