While 2010 is leaving us I was thinking back today on my favorite time one the water from this past season. That got me thinking about the "Your favorite photo of ___" threads from years past. They were always lots of fun for viewing Whaler's and other peoples' Whaler Lives. Since things are a bit slow on the board anyway I figured why not? So, what are your 4 favorite Whaler photos from the past year? Here are Mine, The first one is an image PeteB88 (Pete Bosheff) shot from Dave Buckalew's (Buckda) 25 Outrage Cuddy of My Father, my son and I on the Guardian (behind spray) during the start of the Frankfort to Surgeon Bay Trip. A shot from the helm of the Newport on a Sept evening. My Father and son up front enjoying the near flat conditions of the South Channel. This was a fun shot I took on the same afternoon. OK one more....here is a shot I took of Dave Buckalew's 25 Outrage Cuddy Powering it's way out of Frankfort Michigan to the other side of Lake Michigan. Dave at the Helm and Pete B aboard. It looks like an old Whaler Ad. to me
This is my son's new trick while boating. He can fall asleep anywhere and in any wave conditions. This was shot on aboard Pat's 22 Revenge W/T Homeaside. |

Jeff: Take a look at Fishmore picture on this thread, he has put together some nice shots of different whalers owned by members. This also would not be a bad idea if Jim would/could make a thread of everyone's whaler pictures. I know they have a calendar every year, but still would be nice to see all the different pictures....Happy New Year |

I love these photo threads because they give us a chance to look back on pleasant Summer days in the dead of winter. Here are a few pics from this year's trip to Dubrovnik Croatia. My favorite Boston Whaler photograph for 2011 would have to be my wife, Christie, at the helm of our 17' Montauk smiling from ear to ear! I took her and her friend Rhonda out for a sunset cruise. The exceptional Santa Barbara sunset and calm seas made it a memorable outing. "Red sky at night Sailors delight"! http://s389.photobucket.com/albums/oo336/Nantucket_Sleighride/ ?action=view¤t=IMG_0830.jpg Happy New Year to you all Bill |

I enjoyed panning back through the year's photos and culling it down to 4. Great review of some wonderful trips with friends and family. Door County, WI, waters of Green Bay off Chambers Island. I love the way water and sky merge in this shot: Same location, with my lovely family. Note the wash line of zebra mussel shells just below the rocks: Lake Tomahawk near Minocqua, WI. 4 YO Price with bluegill or sunfish: Same location, 2 YO Jack is hooked up!: |

Didn't take as many as I'd like in 2010, pictures or fish that is! Here is one taken by CW'er Murphy this summer: http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b268/ktswhaler15/Fishing%202010/ IMG_5774.jpg And another taken earlier this summer: Not much of the Whalers in these, but family, good friends and fishing buddies, most holding their first Lanier stripers, definitely onboard a Whaler: http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b268/ktswhaler15/Fishing%202010/ ?albumview=slideshow Enjoy! -k |

While driving with the kiddies looking at x-mas lights I came across this... http://www.tomonline.com/images/santaw.jpg My wife knew exactly what I was doing as I pulled over in front of the house... "Your taking a picture aren't you..." My reply.... Hell year, I wonder how my 23' Conquest would look on the front lawn.... LOL Couldn't pass it up without taking a picture, only downside was that my only camera that I had with me was my the one on my phone. |
