Road Trip? Just drove from NJ to Wisconsin and back to get a Montauk home. Three days of listening to the radio and drinking coffee was a better deal than paying someone else to listen to the radio and drink coffee for three days... ;-) Dave . |

uship.com. Shipper ratings and free quotes on the website. Go to website, click on 'ship', go to 'shipping price estimator', and put your info in to get price range on similar completed jobs. Or post your job and get bids. Choice of 'tow-away' service or flatbed.I've used them and was impressed with service and price.

I did a uship shipment of a boat from central Minnesota to southern California back in June. I shipper was great, and the price was unbelieveable... as long as I could wait for him to build an itinerary to maximize his time and optimize his route. I was willing to wait, and it paid off in the low price. uship holds back the shipper's contact info so you don't cut them out of the equation. I have the guy's contact info if you're interested. You could work a deal with him with uship or without... either way. He has a raft of positive feedback from uship, too.-Peter |

I used u-ship to move a restored classic boat from NC to WI for less than $350. Back then gas at a peak, so pretty good deal I thought. Elected to skip the insurance because it was overpriced and figuring my own would cover it. The boat arrived with a hole about the size of a volleyball in the bow. In the end my insurance denied the claim causing me $500 worth of regret over the decision to forego shipping insurance. Ouch!
