A good, simple, and easy a cover for a 1979 SUPER SPORT 15 can be found by writing a check to a good custom canvas maker and having one made. |

The silver plastic tarps are very weather resistant. You can spend big $$$ for custom fitted covers but my thinking is that unless you want to trailer the boat covered a fitted cover isn't needed. Tom from Rubicon, WI |

Little, About five years ago I sprung for a good cover for my 15. It was a little pricey at $275. but it is worth keeping the sun off of the mahogany and the weather out. The contact information for the company is below. The cover I ordered is specifically made for a Super Sport so the model number below should be right for your boat too. I’m really happy with the quality of the cover. It is sturdy and fits the boat very well. It even has a built-in hood to cover my engine.

You 79' whaler must be a converted SuperSport as the Super sport was introduced until 1985 Does it have the one piece rail that goes around the boat? |

The covers sold @ Wal-Mart work well if you get the size larger than your boat needs & support the center with a couple of milk crates. Like a tent, the high area lets the water drain off. Not fancy, but affordable. |

There is no good cover for a 15 supersport as they did not make them in 1979 as dgoodhue pointed out. But I believe 1984 was teh intro year. $275 for a cover like BobL posted is a great price. My custom cover for my 13' was about $600 and still cheaper than Mills I believe. |

Have you tried any of the suggestions above? Also look at Overton's West, and Cabellas. |

I just purchased and received a cover for my 15 Super Sport based on BobL's recommendation from coversearch.com. Thanks BobL! For $269 shipped. It is the (1C-10303-P) 8 oz Marine Polyester. Fits really well and looks to be high quality. 5 Year Warranty. Sure I would loved to of had Mills or Sunbrella, but that did not work with my budget. It was a little tricky getting on the the first time since it was on my lift and I did not have access to the starboard side or even decent access to the bow and stern. Once I get it on the trailer I will re adjust the straps and get adjusted even better. I am happy with my purchase. Some quick phone photos: |

A good, simple and easy cover, the very best at all of those criteria in fact, is from Wm. J. Mills & Co. Sport 15 Mooring Cover without Bow rail, part #52-2578-00, Sunbrella color of your choice. |

True but when you can get a local to make a duplicate for 1/2 the price...screw Mr & Mrs Mills. |
