Wanted some thoughts on best cleaning and rubbing out products for the gelcoat on my Whaler. I have been getting ready to do some minor screw hole repairs but just noticed an overall dirty boat that doesnt seem to come clean when i wash it, faded gelcoat, stains from the rubber rollers on the trailer, etc. Kicking my butt here thanks Joe

If your gelcoat is badly faded, you may want to buff it out. Do a search as there have been many discussions about products, techniques, etc.

For a spring clean, I recommend Colonite Fiberglass Cleaner. It is a very mild rubbing compound/cleaner that you rub on just before waxing. The mild abrasiveness will take off dirt, stains, smudges, etc. A little elbow grease is required.
