I went for beautiful sunrise kayak this morning and took along my water proof camera. When I returned to my dock I could not resist taking this photo of the bottom side of my 15 Super Sport as it sits on my boat lift. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5144/5626996391_d151f2dc28_z.jpg I have such a strong appreciation for this hull. I am thrilled with the performance of my classic 15. It can comfortably handle the chop, keep me and my family dry, and draw very little water. Always keeps a smile on my face. I really enjoy my Whaler and consider this hull design a work of art! Plus a couple of photos from my morning kayak: -James |

That is a great view of the classic Boston Whaler 15-foot hull. I'd love to see it without the boat hoist. Perhaps someone can suspend a 15-footer from the lifting eyes and take a similar picture. Also, nice gloss on that hull gel coat. |

My friend you have a great eye. Spotting the Whaler like that shows how really they are a marvel. |

Fantastic shot, like Jimh it would be even better if suspended on slings |

I'd rather know how he keeps the bottom that shiny. It looks like it popped out of the mold last week! |

It is a 1993 hull - I got it a year ago, previous owner bought it from a friend who had it on a lake in Indiana from 1993-2001. Said they only used it about two months out of the year and kept it on a lift those two months. Then it was sold and brought to FL where it was trailered/garaged and apparently not used a whole lot. When I got it had a lot of dock rash (scuff marks, dock paint, scratches), so used an orbital buffer first with 3M compound, 3M Finesse-it, then 3M wax. It came out great - got just about every scratch out! It is a head turner now. Before: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4050/4555811395_0f2f8693f6_o.jpg After (one of my favorites): |

I see why the last photo is your favorite, it looks like a Boston Whaler catalog picture! Very nice looking classic. Robert |
