Picked up my 17' Montauk from Spencer Boatworks in Saranac Lake Friday Morning, They had it in the shop running a final test on the 75 HP Mercury 4 -Stroke (ethanol - Pate fiberglass tank - gunk in the engine nightmare-- finally over). Put it in the lake and it runs great.
Spencer Boatworks burnt to the ground Saturday morning-- lightning strike. Total loss.

Sounds like fate. You were not meant to part ways with that Montauk yet. Enjoy it. Glad it’s running well.

You, Sir, are a lucky man. My luck would have been the other way around. That sort of random fire would be just the thing to happen moments after I dropped my whaler off, with my luck.
