I talked a buddy of mine into purchasing a Temptation 2000 and was wondering if anyone knows anything about that model of boat. All I know is it is an original owner, freshwater, indoor stored beauty! How does the Temptation ride? This particular one comes with a 200 hp 2-stroke Johnson and Whaler Drive. Are there any [problems] with this model, like porposing or anything, that may deter someone from buying it? An E-TEC 250 H.O. would look real nice on the back, hmmm!

What I read is the 20' Whaler Drives initially had some porpoising problems. I read Boston Whaler did some repairs/changes to the back of the hull to correct this.

You could also ask the owner about porpoising and/or take it for a sea trial.

It is the same hull as the outrage I believe.

I have never heard of any Boston Whaler boat with a Whaler Drive being prone to porpoising.
