Every thing I have read says to place the teleflex steering cable on the starboard side with a standard rotation prop to counteract the torque. I have all of cables ran to the left side and I really want to run my teleflex to the left also, so with a non feedback system will that help take that torquey feeling out of the helm? Or is it just a plain bad idea to run it to the port side. The reason I ran everything to the left is it is a retrofit center console on a 13 footer and the starboard side shifter box will only mount to the port side of the center console. thanks!

I don`t think you will have any problems with torque on a 13 footer. You can locate the fuel tank and the battery on the starboard side to offset the drivers weight. In reading your thread, I really can't figure out what you are doing, (center console-port side steering?) Any pics? |

Center console, centered wheel, all cables and teleflex ran to port as the old shifter was mounted to the starboard gunwhale so it can only be mounted to the port side of the CC now. Thanks for your advice! |
