A salmon troller from Eureka, California, down here for the commercial salmon season, started taking on water right in the Bodega Bay harbor channel. She took ground, and a Whaler--what else?--arrived soon after with a powerful pump to help get her off. I snapped this as I was heading out for some recreational salmon, and, as I remember, I did nada. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b309/elaelap/BWassist.jpg The photo shows some of our little harbor (~60 miles north of San Francisco) during a rare period of calm, so I thought it worthwhile to post.
