This expensive beauty is just a step up from my Menemsha, a few more amenities, and a bit more room. |

Yes, that is a lot more boat than a MENEMSHA. I don't think you are making a fair comparison. The MENEMSHA is only a 16-footer, and the 345 CONQUEST OPEN is a much bigger boat. I do find the price of these big new boats to be rather too much for me. |

jimh - I agree. Nice boat, but who buys? Back to the fine old days of 1969 when my Dad bought a new 1969 38' Post Sportfisher for about $35-$36K. He thru in all the extras and brought the price up from $27K. Got the twin 300 hp Chris Craft 427 fresh-water cooled gas engines instead of the 285 hp Palmers. Won't see that again. jimp |

I love the boat but running three large outboards just seems kind of uncomfortable to me. I have heard they are real thirsty on this boat as well. I guess if one can afford the price tag gas is not a concern either. |

Jimh- I was being facetious in comparing the Menemsha to the 345 Conquest. Would love to have the Conquest, but 500k could buy a couple of nice homes, and nice Outrage on the dock!-k |

The MENEMSHA was Boston Whaler's first cabin boat. It seems all boat builders have an irresistible urge to always make bigger boats. It took 50 years but Boston Whaler has grown their cabin boat to a 34-foot half-million-dollar boat. |

In today's dollars, jimp's 38' Post would cost about $220,000. Is the 345 Conquest really worth twice as much? |

Andy - Back in those days, a "loaded" boat was $1,000/foot. You often see $10,000 a foot these days and the 345 Conquest (call it 37') mentioned above is $13,200 per foot. |

Kevin, That is my dream boat but I think I can settle for a 27 or 30 |
