[This article begins with the author telling us that he is] looking for a trailer for a 25' revenge walkaround- not really looking forward to [putting] this monster in and out, but, economic times being what they are, the slip might have to go. [Next the author solicits readers to give him accounts of] any experiences putting this large piece of fiberglass in the drink every weekend. I'm already shopping for a new transducer, thinking it will be the first victim. |

Not all that bad to trailer around. We think nothing of a road trip, 300-400 miles is common. You need a good trailer, brakes on 2 axles and a reliable tow vehicle. I have found retrieving and launching not a problem to handle myself. Make sure the trailer is set up properly keel rollers a must. http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x44/ribside/25trailer.jpg |

Do you have a 25 Revenge or a 25 Walkaround? There is a BIG difference between towing the two hulls. The 25 Walkaround requires a wide load permit in most states. The image James provided shows a 25 Revenge. This is a 25 Walkaround. http://tolimages2.traderonline.com/img/6/dealer/736263// 97268014_1thumb_550x410.jpg?1302214852 |

Jim, If we stick to the true designations Whaler gave to the models, there was never a model called a 25 Revenge Walkaround that existed. Your Boat is technically called a Revenge 25. The only 25' Whaler that had Walkaround in it's name was the Whaler 25' Walkaround These are two very different models and the original poster has posted many threads inquiring about his 25 Revenge Walkaround but, has yet to clarify what model he actually has. |

If it is a 25' Revenge (same hull as the 25' Outrage), then plan for about 32' LOA on the trailer (for parking, turning, storing, etc). That includes the motors and the tongue. I can JUST fit my 25' Outrage Cuddy into a 34' x 12' storage unit. My F-150 SuperCrew tows this boat/rig nicely, even fully loaded. I wouldn't want much more boat behind me, but that is the size tow vehicle I'd plan for. If it is the Larger Walkaround model mentioned, plan for more trailer, more truck, etc. |
