Does anyone have an idea, other than a big hat, for a sunshield on a 13? I'm trying to avoid the hardware and clutter that goes with a bimini on such a small boat. Gotta be something out there that would work. |

There are some large umbrellas made for mounting on boats. I prefer a wide brimmed hat. It gets me some long looks and the odd nasty comment now and again but I'm too old to give a hoot what anyone may think of my fashion sense, or lack of same. I grew up in New Mexico and like most of my generation from there have quite a good bit of pre-cancerous growth on my scalp and face. So, on the water a wide brimmed hat and some good sunscreen are the solution for me. Butch |

Butch- Thanks for your response. I have a lot of the same issues, having grown up in Fla. and am now one of my dermotologist's favorites. Hard to beat the big hat and sunscreen. |

Here is a bandanna you can wear over your face when fishing. Its popular with fishing guides here in Fl. Has multiple uses, keeps the sun and UV rays off your face and neck, keeps your clients from recognising you on land after you bring them back to the dock with no fish. Also handy for robbing banks when the weather is too bad to fish. http://www.mybuff.com.au/how-to-wear/fishing/ rich |

Rich- I knew there had to be something new out there, interesting. Need to take a raincheck on wearing it to the bank or the airport, though. Thanks, Joe |
