While I was out running this morning EADS' Airbus subsidiary finally formally announced they will begin assembling there A319, 320 and 321 narrow body aircraft across Mobile from us at the former Brookly Air Force Base. This afternoon I stopped to fill the Titan's gas tank preparatory to a two week trip to the shore after the 4th. The price of the e-10 sold at Walmart's gas station was $2.99.9 per gallon. I did not expect to see gasoline below three dollars again in my lifetime. Butch

Let's hope Austal(CEO quit) and TK(for sale) hold tight. I've heard rumblings that are not positive. $2,.89 @ Murphy in Mobile. |

I paid $3.339 for regular unleaded in Michigan (on land) on Saturday. I was optimistic about lower fuel prices coming our way for the rest of the summer. When I needed gas again on Monday afternoon, the price had risen to $3.599. So much for optimism. |

The way it works for me is I buy fuel and as I leave they lower the price. I put 180 gal of diesel in the big boat at 3.75 per gal and the next day the price was under 3.50. So if you want fuel cheap just make sure you are in line behind me. |

Just wait, late October the price will be historically low. How do I know? It is an election year. |
