As things move forward I am looking at both changing up my tow vehicle, as well as upgrading my Whaler. The two models in the highest contention are a 22 Revenge with a full mills canvas, stern seat, and a 235 OMC V6. The other is would be a 22 Revenge W/T and there are a few I am looking at. I would actually prefer a 20 Revenge W/T but those are hard to come by. All of these would standard notched transom models. What I am wondering is, does anyone have weights of the boat on the trailer from an actual certified scale? I am looking for an overall weight for towing purposes and not to gauge waterloggedness. |

I have weighed my REVENGE 22 W-T Whaler Drive two times on a certified scale. When I first got the boat, with the 1992 Evinrude E225, the total trailer weight was 5,380-lbs. See Source: http://continuouswave.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/001476.html Later I measured it with perhaps a lot more gear or fuel on board, but the same motor, and got 5,600-lbs. I don't think I have weighed it since then, even though I have a new motor. Source: http://continuouswave.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/016667.html Linust weighed his similar boat and found it to be 5,920-lbs. Since the weights above are for the Whaler Drive model, you could use the catalogue weight difference between the Whaler Drive and standard transom to estimate the standard transom weights. According to http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/specifications. html#hulls20-22 the difference is 250-lbs. |

A friend of mine has a moving and storage busines with a certified scale. He was kind enough to let me use it with my 1990 Revenge 22 WT powered by twin F100 Yamaha's. With the aforementioned "stuff" on board and 3/4 tank of fuel she tipped the scale at 5790lbs. Norm |

Jim - Since the boat + trailer or just boat weight occasionally becomes a topic of discussion here on the forum, what about creating a collection of weights and post them in a reference section? Don |

Jeff, I sent you an e-mail about my boat. I think you would be best off with the newer W/T model no matter what length you get. Just the ease of getting to front of boat, not to mention the full width splash well are two big reasons to go the W/T way!....Jack |
