This is probably a question that has been often asked but what is the best fiberglass boat wax out there for the money and where can I get it?

http://www.collinite.com/marine-wax/ Easy on, easy off. Lasts a long time, at least a year. I use this on my boat and all 3 of my cars. Check out their different products as some have light cleaners in them and some are just waxes. Most boat stores will carry it. I know my local West Marine has it but I buy it at the Boathouse here in Jacksonville as they are cheaper.

I think wax depends on the conditions of the weather its in, Yes there are some waxs that are better than others, but in the end its the weather, Some wax is better than no wax, and if you use something thats to difficult you will not want to wax the next time. Get a wax thats easy to wax on wax off...where have I heard this before?

Do not use cheap wax. I've been caught before.

I use 3M products. They are a little more expensive but I trust their products.
I found I needed to put many layers of 3M wax over the old gelcoat to restore and build up a coating on the surface of the gelcoat to a really achieve a good lustre, and that was hard work.
However, having achieved what almost looks like a new wet finish, I find it very easy to maintain that shinny finish with just a regular light going over.

That question is asked on every site frequently.
Spend more and get more. 3M is just good stuff.

Then ask about the best engine.
Then ask about stern savers.
Best oil is good for a week.

I reckon the extra cost to have my whaler in good shape is worth it.
I just don't tell the wife....
