My favorite line so far: "Fuels containing ethanol or methanol should be avoided whenever possible. These additives may cause corrosion of metal parts, deterioration of rubber and plastic parts, fuel permeation through rubber hose lines, and difficulty in starting and operating the engines. The fuel hoses, filters, and connections should be inspected frequently when using fuel with alcohol additives."

Methanol is not commonly used as an additive to gasoline any more.
