Just wanted to say hello, as Im back in the world of classic Whalers again - I bought a clean Canadian 1976 Whaler Montauk with a 75 Honda (2006) on the back...Really looking forward to fishing and exploring this season. I came out of a 1980 15 Sport, this is my first center console.

I'm about to purchase a new bunk trailer by a company called Venture. They seem to build good product from what I've been told.

My hull is also in need of a good waxing...Im researching how and if I should de-oxidize with a buffer or by hand.

My new boat has a bimini top - which should be nice in the summer sun. I also have to buy a chart plotter/fish finder for my Montauk. I have been looking at handhelds vs console mounts. My dealer recommends Hummingbird...Any advise in this area would be appreciated.

anyway, just thought Id tune in to say hi, as the spring is fast approaching!
