About 2 years ago I sold our 21 Revenge to a brother-in-law. Now two years later he needs to sell it. My first thought was to buy it back, he is asking $4500 which is quiet a bit less than he paid for it. Because we are back up to 7 power boats, including a 21 Robalo that replaced the Revenge, my wife told me something I thought I would never here from her.

"We don't need another boat"

He is out of the country and I have been asked to help sell the boat. I haven't seen the boat in 2 years and don't know what the condition is. I plan to take some pictures and post it on Craigslist and here on the Marketplace.

In the mean time I plan to secretly take some measurements for adding another space in the boat shed just in case it doesn't sell.

Well I went to take pictures of the Revenge and it was in sad shape. I told my brother-in-law what I thought he needed to do to get the boat in sellable condition. He offered me the boat at a reduced price, so boat is mine again. 8 power boats and 15 kayaks, 2manyboats for sure.

Just thought I'd try.

BTW, where do people find wives like that?

Mine rolls her eyes at any mention of a boat ride, and thinks $9.95 is about the max you should spend on any aspect of boating.

Eight power boats? Good. I'll have to remember that. I've only got five. It's nice not to be the outlier when it comes to arguing with wives.

I trying to work on number two...that is boat number two not wife. Delicate situation especially when you have young kids. To be honest I'm not sure where I would find the time anyways. I can't imagine eight boats that's spectacular it's like a dream.

I think most of his 8 boats are used in his tour guide service. I only have 3 boats myself.

Up until a few years ago we had 2 13's and now that I have the 15 I wouldn't go back to a 13. I have had 2 inflatables, don't want any of those again. In the case of my wife we have been married almost 40 years and have had about 40 boats including a 50 ft houseboat we lived on the first several years after we got married. Also my wife has had her captains license for about 8 years and 3 of the power boats are actually owned by her or her company. All the kayaks are company owned. The rest are mine, but are used in the tour business or by Coastal Rivers my nonprofit that does marine litter clean ups.

The 21 Revenge was not really in the plans but I broke a major rule and let my emotional attachment to the boat surface.

I recently added a second boat and I find that it's difficult to find the time to keep both in the water. We boat year round and for the first.time ever my whaler spent several months in the same spot on the trailer. I don't know how people with multiple boats find time to use them all, unless its part of your job. Or you are retired in which case I.am jealous. ;)

I have multiple boats and do not use them all. Not even close.

Not retired, I work 7 days a week. Most of my work is out on the water. I was on the water by 6:45 this morning, back at the dock by 10 am. Reinstalled injectors in the 130 Honda, tour boat back in the water this afternoon for my wife to take her 5:30 group for their swamp tour. Will test run the Honda in the morning. In between all that booked 3 swamp tours and a 4 hr kayak trip for the up coming weekend.
