jimh	posted 09-01-2013 09:03 PM ET (US)         I have been away for over a week, and just about all that time in areas so remote there was no internet connection available via open WiFi networks--heck, most of the time there was no cellular telephone service available. The result was a considerable backlog of newly registered users who did not get posting access in a timely manner. If you recently registered but have not been able to post, the delay was caused by this lack of access.

jimh	posted 09-04-2013 07:52 PM ET (US)             Yes--the only radio information we had was NOAA weather radio. I suppose we could have received a few AM broadcast stations at night, but we did not try.
