That's a real beauty. I've never noticed that foredeck/gunwale configuration. Very cool.

That boat is not an Offshore 27, it is a 27' Vigilant made by Boston Whaler CPD

Whaler CPD would make any of their boats in whatever color you wanted so long as you oaid for it.

I like it! It looks like it has a head compartment also, only about two hours from my house, but too big to tow!..Jack

Tom,Forgive my ignorance..but,i was always under the impression that the vigilant model have the full enclosed pilot house. On this perticular boat it seem's to have your common 27 offshore model config.

The Offshore model is characterized by a hardtop that extends aft over the pilot seat/leaning post/work station and is supported by welded aluminum tubing there. It is open on the sides aft of the wheel being something of a hybrid between the pilot house and a center console with hardtop.

The Vigilant model from Whaler CPD has a true pilot house that is completely open in the rear with an optional drop curtain, or a solid bulkhead with sliding door.

The example in the ad listed above is unusual in the the sliding door has been installed on the sides of the pilot house and appears to be customized for the needs of the original customer (who may well has been a recreational boater.)

Look at the foredeck area of this boat. You will note the telltale shape of the coaming in this area being curved as in all CPD 27s with open bows. The Offshore model had a facetted three sided shape in this area as well as a molded in three sided seat in front of the pilot house.

Compare and contrast the images from pages 8 and 9 of the 1991 Boston Whaler catalog with the images form pages 20 and 21 of the 1991 Boston Whaler Commercial and Government Products catalog.

The forward deck of the Offshore is also higher than the aft deck to accommodate the berth below. The style of the boat shown is similar to an offshore but it lacks many of the offshore features including the cabin with head/beth, large aft fish box's, tackle center, folding splash well, aft quarter boxes, molded in bow pulpit with anchor well, and many many other subtle differences.

Not to take away from the boat shown as I like it very much provided it is not trashed and the Yamahas shift shafts have been replaced it looks nice

Thanks a bunch for clarifying that Tom.
At 19,900-,no trailer, radar do not work, outboards are fairly old,,not to mention one of them do not have trim and tilt, bottom painted..what are your thoughts on the price fellas?
