Great boat that we want sell. It has 2-100hp Johnsons 1978. Too much for family with 3 small kids living in the city. Some outriggers, cover, trailer. Stored in a barn for many years with minimal use. Kept outside now. Great out on the Chesapeake Bay! $12,000.00 1-757-409-5363 with questions.

Is 12k too much for this boat? I'm not a BW afficiando, but when I first got it in 2006, someone offered me 12k. That is why I started with that price. Any input would be appreciated.

I think you would get more interest if you posted some pictures and gave some more information on whats included (e.g. electronics? extras?). I have limited knowledge on the "bannana style" market, but I'm sure some of the other members could help if they had more information.

Link to pictures is noted in 2nd post.
Extras include: bimini top, ski pole/rope, outriggers, vhf, loran/fishfinder, live well, a couple of anchors and bumpers.

NFWest,

Do you have any images of the boat's interior that could be posted on your site? Are you selling to down size to another whaler or move up?

I'll have to head out to the boat yard this weekend to get some more pictures.
I'm looking to downsize to the 13-15 foot range.

For those of us who don't want to sign up at Snapfish, is there a public ID and Pwd?

You don't mention it, but it looks like twin 85HP Johnson Javelins for power. Are they running now? What kind of steering? (cable, Teleflex, hydraulic).

I'm interested.

Thanks,

--- WhalerAce

85 & 100 Javelins are identical in appearance.

Nick, now that I re-read his post, I see that the horsepower was stated within the first ten words. I'm getting old!

I was going by the pictures, that show up dark on my monitor, and I can't get into the Snapfish site.

WhalerJoy was just mentioning today that maybe we should sell the 15 and get a bigger boat, like a Montauk or such. I half-agreed, I'll be happy to get a bigger boat (just won't sell the 15, prettiest hull Whaler made). I think this boat satisfies her desire for a bigger boat (that she can get in and out of at the beach), and fulfills my desire for one of the older Outrages.

Yeah but trailering it is almost as bad as your 25'. If you want to sell the Temptation and keep only one boat...fine but I think you have the best of both worlds...or get a 17....not an 18, 19, 21, etc.

They are actually 1979 100hp Javelins. Yes, they are running and have been professionally serviced throughout. I believe the steering hydraulic. I am at work now, so they block me from snapfish, but I can put this pictures in a public place from home.

Actually let me rewrite that:

If you are selling the 25' then this is a great boat and easier to tow due to it weighs maybe 3500 with trailer. It is a great compliment to a 15'. If you are not selling the 25' then in my opinion you are better off selling the 15 and getting a Montauk or 16 Dauntless, etc.

Guys,

I have already saved all of nfwest's images in my photobucket.

Nick,

You are as bad as WhalerJoy. Y'all use the term "sell" or "trade-in". That is not in my vocabulary. Only "add".

I would never part with my 15 (or at least one of the 15s). Hopefully, I will never part with my Temptation, either.

Based on riding in your Revenge and Dave Jenkins' Outrage, I really love the way they are light and take so little horsepower to run. Plus, their Outrageous appearance just gets to you.

And Jeff, thanks for the post, but I am at work now, too, and am blocked from photobucket (but interestingly, not YouTube).

nfwest, I will look at the pictures when I get back home and see if I need more pics.

THanks,

--- WhalerAce

Ok...makes sense as long as "Corporate" is in agreement. Good boat for the longer trips to FL where you need more than the 15 and not as much as the 25. I love my 19 and the fact it can go in <15" of water is incredible. A twin engine(on plates) would draw even less but I burn less than one of his 100's does ;)

Sweet ride and I hope Ace buys it...the more the merrier in the "banana family" of GCBWOA in my oinion. Ace would make #7...sorry Ace, just short of #9 ;)

Jeff, Thanks for the help with the pictures..

Nick,

"Corporate" hasn't bought off on it yet, but I'm still working at it.

PS Is my memebership in GCBWOA still in good standing?

As long as you pay your dues...you are always in good standing.

Dues consist of showing up once and a while and being able to take my BS and Frank's too ;)
