Not related, nor do I live near Naples, nor have I ever seen the boat, just passing along the info.

How much are you asking?

Have you done a compression test on the engine yet? :)
...sorry, couldn't resist...

210, 205, 212, 207...then the sparkplugs flew out and killed the owner from all that darn compression.

I am interested in your boat and was wondering if you could tell me if there was water in the hull? I hear that whalers are notorious for this.
BTW why are you selling the boat?

The hull is dry and free of holes bigger than a quarter. The axle has a slight bow in it but that just needs adjustment. Water line is fine, about 8 inches below the rubrail. I am selling the boat because I need something smaller and lighter, my 2008 Duramax dually can't tow it off the ramp.

what type of fuel economy do you get? Would I be better off re powering with a new air cooled cruise and carry motor, my friend's friend's sister's veterinarian's cousin tells me they are the real deal see pic: http://www.smalloutboards.com/images/cc27xjan08/side1.jpg

Balony! Baloney! Balogna!
No way you could buy a Montauk for 4500 in Florida!

Can I send you an out of town cashiers check from my friend in Nigeria for double the asking price and get you to send me the difference in cash?

P L E A S E Donate it to our registered 501c3 non-profit for our kid's programs (legit) so we can take them out on big water with our affiliate program Project FISH - I can check with our accountant but I think we can give you a receipt for fair market value for the boat.

THANK YOU Continuouswave!!!
I bought this boat today. Hull is a 1988 and very solid. The motor is a 1992 with 110psi on the port bank and 125psi on the starboard bank. We'll have to put a scope in the cylinders to see what is going on in there this weekend.
Nevertheless, for $3,800 I think I did very well.
I'm a Honda dealer (generators), so maybe we'll polish her up and put a new 90hp on her.
Thank you again!! Your banter kept this thread at the top, and I stumbled onto it a few nights ago.

If I could just find a pair of "Jenny's thru-hulls" I'd pay big money for that! LOL

Congrats on the boat, I was considering taking a look but need to sell my GTO before I buy anything else.

If it was not for Tohsgib posting this third party sale here on CW, Surfineer (a CW member) would not have got this boat.
Well, like I said before, not allowing third party sales to be posted on CW hurts the Whaler enthusiast and helps the boat broker/dealer/flipper. If thats what Jim H wants to do, its his sight and its fine with me.

You are welcome Surfineer. I honestly would not worry about the compression, many older OMC's are like that. Replace the thermos, maybe the head gaskets(then no need for a scope), new pump and fluid, clean carbs and run the heck out of her till she goes.
The only thing I ask, could you please try and attend one of our rendezvus in the future. If you want, e-mail me your info and I will put you on the FL mailing list.
