I posted this a few months back and thought I would give it another try. I was passivly selling, but I am not going to be able to walk without cane or chair, so my loss...

Illness is stopping me from finishing the work on the boat. I am firm on the price, its a good deal and you will be more than happy. I will consider a trade for electric guitars. Gibson, Fender, Ibanez. I may consider a small Whaler 11ft or so in trade.

This is a 1983 Boston Whaler Montauk 17 with a 1994 Johnson 70HP with power tilt/trim (150psi compression on all 3 cyl’s)

The boat was damaged 5-6 years ago and had hull damage, I repaired all the holes, its the finish work yoyu need to do.

Here is what is needed:

Finish Bottom and hull work in general (Fare w/West sys, prime, sand, paint)
Install new Rub rail (new BW supplied)
Rewire lights (new aftermarket bow light/chock)
Replace control cables to engine (they work, but have worn through
Drain tube replacement (new tubes & tool from Whaler supplied)
Refasten RPS and console (loose screws, drill/fill reinstall)
Console bottom wood is shot. I have a nice piece of Okume Plywood.

Engine was just winterized; I did compression when fogging it read 150psi on all 3 cylinders. It’s a low hour motor which was installed by previous owner new when he purchased Whaler in 94.

Included:
Pate Fiberglass gas tank (I was given by fellow Whaler, removed as precaution and no issues noted)
Mills Flying top, front enclosure and side curtains (one snap ripped and a small tear or two..no dissapointments)
New Battery
New Ignition switch (vintage proper switch)
Boston Whaler drain tube set and tool (all thru hull tubes removed these are new factory replacements)
Boston Whaler rub rail (Factory 3 piece rub rail)
After market bow light chock (very nicely made, heavy duty!))

I have no trailer, the boat is on 4 boat stands (not included!), you will need to load on your own trailer, the stands are not part of deal, but can be negotiated. Again NO TRAILER and STANDS NOT INCLUDED with this sale, you need to bring the trailer.

I Also have hundred's of dollars of marine related products, tools, parts etc. that can be discussed if you buy the boat.

I have a ton of pictures at various stages. If you want a specific part photographed let me know....I will shoot whatever you need me to.

Boat is in my Driveway in Wethersfield, Ct

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. I did sell the boat today and she's going to a local whaler(er). Thanks and god bless to all. I hope to be back in the water and on a another Whaler once I get this thing beat.

Regards

Rich in Wethersfield

That's awesome, Rich. I know you've been looking to sell it for a while and it must be tough to give it up. Good luck with everything.
