Since you are located in the NE, there should be no problem locating a 16' Dauntless. The key is to find a nice one that fits your price range, requirements and needs. It would therefore be helpful if you could give us a little more information such as:

1. Your price range - The first year of Dauntless 16' was 1999 and the last year was 2007. The range of price can be anywhere between $10,000 and $25,000+ depending on year and condition.

2. Preferred motor size - most have a 115 HP (which I recommend), but some have a 90 HP which you can usually buy for less money because they are less in demand.

3. Fresh water or salt water (fresh water boat will usually cost more).

4. Bottom paint okay (no bottom paint boat will usually cost more).

The 16' Dauntless is a fine choice for mostly bay use, with the occassional trip "outside", weather and conditions permitting.

Yeah I never give enough info on these boards.
I am looking for a later model under 12,500 I'd be happy with the a 90 horse although I am willing to look at anything.
Saltwater is fine and I will be using it primarily for bay use.
I just sold my 21-B Mako and am looking for a easier runabout.

Take Care- Paul

Your welcome Captain. You may have to travel to the New Jersey Shore (about 3 hours away), but only if its worth it.

I'm more then willing to travel, I fly for a living so I'd be willing to go as far as a 10 hour drive from CT to pick up the right boat
