Hey guys,

Just wondering if I could get a bit of advice. I found a 11'6" Boston Whaler on Craigslist.

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/boa/573092402.html

He said the boat is a 1989, the trailer is 1970 and he doesn't know the year of the motor. The interior was painted in 2007. It's been stored outside under a tarp.

Does this look overpriced or about fair?

Thanks for any help.

Matt

If this helps- Last month I paid $2000 for an 11' whaler sport 1979 model, 1979 Johnson 15, trailer, great condition, never was painted, all mahogany was intact and refinished, motor runs great, had new steering, fishfinder, nav lights, didnt need anything. was stored in a heated garage. Here is a pic. Your boat is a little newer than mine, but doesnt have the wood (hopefully it is under the paint.

I would not be thrilled that the interior was painted. Having said that, in the Northeast, that boat, motor, trailer combo with the painted interior probably worth around $1,500. On the West coat somewhat more. Good luck.

I care that the guy asked for help.
I have a 1979 11 footer and paid considerably more 3 years ago. It looks to be the same motor I have based on sticker design and my motor is a 1983 I know that the motor decals periodicly but thats a ball park. My whaler was a very well kept origional with a 4 year newer motor.
