I have no affiliation to the CL seller, but...

I posted/shared this boat a 2 months or so ago about the great price. I then subsequently tried to buy the boat myself becuase it was too good a price to walk away from.

Two months ago the seller was offering the boat for $2500. I offered to buy then, he rebuffed my offer which is fine. Yesterday he posted the boat at $3500; today he changed the price to asking $4500.

I have no problem with the seller trying to get the best price. But offering on CL at one price and then retracting and switching to another is a "bait and switch". Sell the boat on ebay if you want the laws of commerce to get you the best price for your boat.

Still looks to be a decent boat (hull at this point), but buyer beware of the pricing scheme.

If it is the cuddy cabin, I noticed that too. I thought of buying it but didnt because I dont need another boat. Just as mentioned, it was $2500 and is now $4500.

According to the seller, this boat has sold.

I first saw it at the $3500 level and decided to buy it at that price. The next day,I pulled up the new ad at $4500. I didn't need another Whaler, but the first price was good enough to convince me. The second price was too much for what the buyer was getting....simple as that.BUT, I was hacked off that the seller had the cajones to do I didn't even call with an offer, figuring it would be a waste of time. I'm sure it would have. While I am a firm believer in buying low and selling higher, that ain't the way!
