Hi folks- I'm looking for a nice nauset console-windshield setup. Are there any out there that may have been made to plan, restored and needs nothing or one that might need a little attention? Thanks!

I have a Sakonnet Counsel and Reversible Bench seat that are both in quite good condition. I think the Nauset and Sakonnet are basically the same counsels. They're both from a 1977 Whaler 17 (newer 17' Hull) that the original owner requested the older counsel and bench seat on at time of purchase. So in all likelyhood they must be one of the very last wooden counsels / Bench seats built. I refinished it once (spending countless hours sanding and varnishing)and then decided that I would update the counsel to the OEM Fiberglass Montouk counsel with leaning post. So then the wood counsel and bench went into deep storage(basement where they sit to this day). Any interest?

I picked up an older ( late 60's) Whaler hull and wanted to redo it with mahagony console and seat. Got plans from Classic Whaler and a good friend who knew his way around a piece of wod. Finished product is at my site. Can't beat the look of wood on an older Whaler !

There's a mahogany console in parts if you go back on this site to 02-28-2008. It's listed by southshorewhaler if your still looking. The windshield portion looks on pretty good shape.

Hey WNYWhaler, hows the Bearcat running.??? Hope you get the console you are looking for and get the works into the water this year... If you still want a console and bench seat, I have brand new ones (never even been varnished) in the basement... I dropped $1700 for them last fall, but don't have the time to do the finishing work on them... Let me know what you want of it and we can work something out...
