I'm just trying to feel this out, but it seems like a better idea every time I think about it.

I built this boat for my parents last spring, and she's been great ever since. However, they VERY rarely ever venture outside of our local rivers, and we could use a lower gunwale'd boat as my parents and their four dogs are aging.

Ideally, I'd like to find a 19' in good shape for a Low Pro conversion. I haven't decided whether or not I'd try to make the Suzuki currently on the 18' work on a Lo Pro. So this trade may or may not include the current engine

The 1988 Outrage 18'

- 2007 Suzuki 175 - approx. 140 hours - professionally maintained
- Rigged with all new equipment including SeaStar hydraulic steering
- Center cavity recored with Okume plywood spring 2007
- Installed brand new fuel tank spring 2007
- All teak restored with 3 coats of West Systems Epoxy and 9 coats of Petit Flagship varnish
- Mills Suntop with boot
- Full front cushions
- LED courtesy lighting
- Teak pulpit
- Retrofitted Scout Boats brand ski tow bar - connects at two points at transom to save space
- 10" T H Marine manual jack plate
- Stainless Suzuki prop
- Dual batteries setup under the console
- Single axle galvanized trailer with two new hubs, wheels, and tires

Would consider selling if a classic 19 comes along first.

Price negotiable depending on condition of boat for trade.

Price currently not avail for outright sale.

Thanks

Mick

Something to keep in mind about your engine. Doesn't the 18' generally take a 25" shaft length motor whereas the older 19' outrages use a 20" shaft. Beautiful boat.

Len has contacted me, thanks for the heads up.

I'm aware of the 20" transom on classic 19' Whalers, but I'd rather not part with the motor. I think the 175 would work great on a 19'. However, if I were to find a 19' soon for a good deal, I would part with the whole package so long as there was sufficient money from the sale of my boat to buy another new Suzuki. I'd rather just trade or sell my 18' sans power and add a jackplate on the 19'.
Thanks for your thoughts though.

Two seemingly nice 1970's era 19ft. Whalers are currently for sale on eBay. One is an Outrage (Whaler 19) and the other is a Revenge. Both hulls look to be fairly solid and either could be a Lo Pro conversion.
