Just saw a Classic 13 w/ Yam 40 sell on Ebay for $2250.00 out in Utah I believe. Some creative interior work but it looked pretty good in the photos -

Either someone got a great buy or something was sketchy about the boat - Does anyone have any inside baseball on that baby?

Item number: 220216184971

I can't believe 13s have lost that much value.

I love Utah and would move there in a minute. Probably mod my 13 for running Deep Powder runs up at Snowbird. They have lakes and I ain't talkin about the salty one.

Yeah but then your boat would lose half its value.

That's what I'm talking about - like that town with all those old vintage Cadillacs someplace East of the Cascades somewhere I will never tell that people drive.

BW's are appreciated in Utah and command real dollars. I think the problem here is that the seller used the wrong strategy. The way to buy/sell a used boat in Utah is to use and craigslist. I have watched whalers on ebay lots and never seen any from Utah, likely because they are found in low density here. As a result few Utah buyers are going to watch ebay regularly. It is most useful as a gauge of the national market. So, I speculate the seller could have commanded many more dollars had he/she used the free sites already mentioned and avoided ebay entirely. My $0.02.
