I need a pair of D rings for the transom on my 1970 Katama. Need the ringed nuts for the inside too. Does anyone have a pair or know a source for them? Any leads appreciated. Thanks. Jim from Orlando.

This has been a hot topic lately. It seems that originally, Perko made these for Whaler, but Whaler has since then bought the tooling. Somebody is making them for Whaler, but I don't know who. It's not Orca's, it's not Southco, which I have contacts at both.Seems to me that if you want a set, you have to go through Whaler Customer Service, and they ain't cheap. And it also seems no one has a spare set laying around. Your best bet is if you still have the originals, try bringing them back to life with a little sandpaper, polishing compond, and elbow grease.
