I have someone that saw my boat listed here and is interested in it. Problem is that he is in The Netherlands.

I also have another possible buyer buy he's not in a position to buy at the moment.

I'm not in a position where I have to sell. I would like to though... Not sure what to do...

I would be interested in hearing from those that have made sales overseas or those that bought and had the boats shipped to them.

How can we make this transaction safely?

Buyer suggested PayPal....

Your thoughts, concerns and suggestions would be appreciated.

Europe is a strong market, unlike the states. Make the sale, have your buyer pay for shipping and transport to the port of embarkation, all insurance, etc. Remember, you are just the seller. If someone wants the boat bad enough, they will pay these costs. But the key is, once it reaches the port and is loaded on the ship, your responsibility is through. But do everyone a favor. Describe the boat as accurately as you can to the buyer. That way, no issues can arise after the transaction.

Europe is a very strong market right now. It behooves all of us to understand this. And it should also show all of us what PPP does to an economy!

I have a friend that lists and sells boats on his site. He has sold many overseas and he said the Europeans have a fondness for whalers. He arranges shipping and all. Not sure if you are interested in his assistance and/or if I can list his site in here.

I would be very sure you are not being scammed. I am not sure how Pay Pal works and what protection you have. I think I would want a wire transfer to my account and then once the money has been received, ship the boat to the buyers representitive for forwarding overseas.

By no means accept a check for more than the purchase price and then return the overage to the sender of the check. This is a known scam in the RV industry. The original check will bounce in time and you will be out the amount that you returned.

Let us know how you have made out..........
