I'm getting ready to ebay or craigslist my '87 Super Sport-15 w/ 60hp Evinrude (same yr. )I paid $5200 for it about 8 years ago (which I thought was a great price at the time), but don't use it like I used to; (it's actually been sitting in my driveway for the past 2 years...) Anyway, when it ran, it ran well, hull's in great condition, woodwork needs a good refinishing, and the trailer is in very usable condition (Cox brand). I recently noticed the steering cable has frozen up though. Any thoughts what a reasonable ballpark asking price would be on this?

Sport15er.....In my opinion, it would be in your best interest to get the boat running and get the steering cable fixed before you sell it. This will maximize your sale price by taking the out the uncertainty to a potential buyer about the cost to fix. You should also refinishing the wood. Assuming you do all of this, and the boat is in "as advertised" and it has no major issues with the hull or motor, $5,500 to $6,500 seems like a fair price (depending on condition).
