..I figure this'll get calls for my be-heading on this particular site but here goes anyways..

.. Mrs Sandy and I are gonna try somethin new.. So Schneeky's gonna move on.. It's an 87 17' Commercial Whaler hull with several modifications to the interior.. I installed a platform up front with (2) integrated battery boxes.. Casting platform to the rear with removable seat and backrest.. Custom console built in my garage this winter with a storage box and easy access under.. Cockpit is setup so you can relax while en route.. You can run it sitting or standing in equal comfort.. Console is "offset" as opposed to side or center..
..Power is provided by an 05 Suzuki 90HP 4 stroke with low hours (~200) and good maintenance.. Unit was not installed on a boat until '06.. Under factory warranty till 2009 and extended warranty till 2012.. Runs great and will really jump outta the hole with super smooth power..
..NO ELECTRONICS COME WITH IT.. Unless we can work something out on that Lowrance I just bought last month and the new radio/antenna..
..Also has a relatively new 75# thrust Minn Kota SW trolling motor with remote and Auto Pilot.. There's also a dual battery charger in the front compartment..
..The trailer's butt ugly but sound.. That's all I got to say about that.. Clear paper with both boat and trailer.. The funk on the keel is where Dave tried to install the keel guard while the boat was on the trailer.. It doesn't work very good like that and he got glue all over.. And it could use a rubrail.. There's been a few creature comfort items added since these pics.. I'll try to get some new pics.. This is a killer flats/inshore rig that can be had for a fraction of the cost you'd pay for something new.. 'Whaler purists- 'Sorry 'bout that.!!

..This has been a great little boat but we're ready to get on with something different.. If I can just let it go as it sits I'll take $7500 for it.. It's been checked out and everything is sound.. Will consider trades on some sort of inboard or I/O "protected cockpit" type rig and 2xWide 16+ feet Jons.. Four strokes preferred.. I don't know what to do about pics on this site but here's a link (I hope) to one of my other ads.. Thanks.!! 910.465.0001 d:^) Schneeky..

**NOTE** Console and rear deck are easily removeable and are made to fit into another 17' Whaler hull should you desire that option or if 'ol Schneeky finally crashed..

Hey it's your boat, and it looks like you did a thoughtful and careful job. Now you have to find one other person who agrees with you. That should not be too hard. Dave

I think it looks great. Lots of good mods to make fishing better. Storage galore and the platforms are very nice. The console is a good design. Did you build it?

..Thanks, fellas.!! Sure not what I expected.!! I envisioned feinting "Whaler Women" and a "Continuous Wave" T-Shirt clad gang of men with pitchforks en route to the lynching party for the high crime of defacing a Whaler.. d:^D (Can ya tell I'm the inglorious result of growing up with TV.?)

..And yessir, I built the console from scratch back in January..I wanted some "table top".. Plus more room and storage below with easy access to the underside electrical connections with the option to drive comfortably standing or sitting..The first revision was a big box that came all the way down to the floor almost.. I was ready to goto gel coat when I took a circular saw to it and made a few mo' nicer mods to the shape.. The storage box has places for 2 Plano trays and the other side is just wide open.. Gets a lot of nic-nacs out of the way..
..Tim, of Tim's Towers in Southport did the aluminum work.. It always helps to have someone available to ya that can come up with the practically effective ideas for support structures.. It's been a real pleasure working with a pro who actually gives a hoot..
..Thanks for your responses and I hope somebody enjoys this little rig as much as I have.!! d:^) Schneeky..

Very Nice Indeed! Looks like a fish killin' machine...

With that new motor, someone is getting a great deal.

..Thanks.!! If I don't get some buyer response on it soon I'm gonna separate the motor from the hull/trailer.. I have a guy local interested in the hull and trailer.. I'm thinking I could sell that low hour Suzi 90 4S easier if it were separated from this hull.. I bet there's more folks are lookin for it than there are lookin for my rendition of a flats boat.!! d:^) Schneeky..
