Ship to shore radio? That's great, but does the boat come with an outboard motor?
deepwater posted 06-27-2008 08:06 AM ET (US)     Profile for deepwater  Send Email to deepwater
yes the motor is a 1989 Johnson 88spl,,the type motor was an omitted error

just remembered ,,there are 2 fuel lines all SS,,one from in front of the cc for the extended trips and the regular under the RPS seat so only short pieces of rubber fuel line is needed

i was contacted by a boat broker to sell my boat,,i asked if they carried insurance on the boats on their lots they said no it was my responsibility ,,i don't feel good about dropping my boat off and leaving it ,, shouldn't they also carry insurance of some kind,,

Being contacted by a boat broker is like being contacted by a diplomat from Nigeria.

Selling a Montauk should be easy as pie.

deepwater...
Instead of making people email you requesting photos- which may be a bit intimidating for some casual lookers, maybe set up an account on photobucket or one of the other free photo sharing sites so potential buyers can see the boat anonymously.
It will give you much better exposure and generate some excitement. I wasn't looking to buy a Montauk last year, but when a member here posted a photobucket link with 15 photos of his boat on it... it got me thinking, and within a few days I was hooked- a week later it was mine. And in the same vein, I posted a photobucket link here with my 13 Sport the next week that was sold to a casual looker.

Your boat sounds very nice... give photobucket a try- you have nothing to lose.

thanks for all the advice guys but the photo bucket thing is for some reason out of my grasp of understanding,,so until i can find a 13 to 15 year old to help me set it up or until my son comes up for a visit attachments is what i have,,some web sites/emails/attachments is about as far as i get but drop me off in the middle of nowhere and i will gain weight and come back with extra equipment and a great tan

Deepwater,
Be sure to take advantage of the kind offer to have
a Photobucket site set up for you. It has worked
great for me several times.

Greg_B you have the pics i hope they weren't too big,,cascobay on the other site had to use a special program to shrink them down to get posted,,i guess its the way they come out of the camera because the zoom in factor is great
