Just built custom made aluminum fuel cell. Still at facility in Perry, Florida. Any interest email zotcha@hargray.com. Thanks. zot.

*May require raising seat to above riser.

It is an above deck tank that sits below the rear thwart.

Anyone interested in a 19 gallon custom aluminum, epoxy coated fuel tank for a 13 or 15? It will require raising the front or rear thwart slightly, but is ready to receive Desert Tan or original BW blue. No fuel guage, just fill, pick-up and ground plate. Can provide photos by email. zot.

How much are you asking and what do you think shipping to 92121 would be?

Thanks,

Gerrit

I paid $410.00 shipped from New Jersey to Hilton Head, S.C. and have saved original container and styrofoam because I ordered two before deciding to convert to center console. I have great pics of install of first. I will get the original dimensions and specs. and try to email the photos. Thanks. zotcha.

Sorry for any confusion. The one from Perry Fla. arrived first and is currently installed in the 1982. It was built to my specifications by RDS Aluminum using .090" thickness aluminum stock, which is what we used for the Jersey Speed Skiffs I was involved with building. Pics. available.

The one available came from New Jersey, Speedy Tanks, and is built using .125" aluminum. Both are rectangles measuring 41 1/4" long, 16" wide, and 9 1/4" tall. The fuel pick up and fuel fill are located extreme starboard rear of tank so it is a short run to the seperator under the rear thwart, and so that you do not have to climb in the boat to fill with 5 gallon cans, or reach the fill hose into the center of the boat at the gas station, like the original Pate tank design. The grounding terminal/tab is also located here. The tank is 16" wide so that I did not have to cut the rear thwart to access fill, so aft wall of tank sits 3-4" outside aft edge of thwart.

Now the trick part. My rear thwart was raised during refurb. but not to top of riser. Instead it was rabbitted in so seat surface is flush with riser board, can not move forward or aft, and is secured from below so that no Stainless hardware is visible, except the eight number 14 flat head Phillip screws and finish washers where the riser boards are secured to the gunnels. This allows 9 1/4" height, and an additional inch or more, so that the entire cell sits on 1/8" aluminum 'feet', also epoxy coated. Two on the outside edges, and one running forward to aft, in center of cell. This served two purposes: 1) to raise cell off the floor by supporting 'feet' with 3/4" Star Board, and 2) to use exact same holes in deck previously used to mount original Pate tank.

Also, cell has two vertical baffles welded inside, per US Coast Guard regs. Hope this is clearer. Sorry for the long post. Thanks. zotcha.

Any Classic 15 Sport models looking to upgrade a Pate tank replacement? Nobody?

I cannot use this one any longer due to console reconfigurations... This tank is ideal for anyone looking to upgrade. I don't get it. Please feel free to contact me. zot.
