I have a great 150 Yamaha Outboard on a trash boat. Where can I get a Whaler to put it on in Michigan? What models would be best for this motor?

Perfect for a 1998-2008 18" Dauntless or Ventura.

Rob,

There are few boats locally here in Detroit that I know of that would be candidates. The motor would be great for a 18 Outrage, 19 Outrage, 19 Outrage or Revenge I, 19 Outrage II, V-20 Outrage / Revenge, 20 Outrage / Revenge, or a Classic 21 Outrage / Revenge.

You should consider how you plan to use the boat, where you plan to use the boat (inland lakes or the Great Lakes), and with who you will use the boat with. Also, what price range are you looking to be in.

Hi Rob,

I have a 1988 18 Outrage in good condition that was rigged with a 150 HP Yamaha of the same vintage. I sold the motor two years ago because I was going to rig twins on the boat.

I found a larger whaler so the boat has been sitting around and I would like to sell it. I would sell the hull for $7000.

I have two trailer options for the boat: the original painted Shorline for $500 or a brand new Continental keel roller trailer for $1500.

I live in Maryland but have family in Pittsburgh and would consider meeting you there with the boat.

Hope this helps. Thanks. Jim

What size shaft determines a lot of things...with boats of course.
