Hi all - I have an old 1969 MG-GT Coupe that I would consider trading for a small WHALER - price range is around $1800 on the car. I also have a convertible MGB, about same condition that I would also consider working a deal on....maybe even BOTH cars for a Whaler???

I've owned lots of Whalers and am flexible - whatcha got? I am in Aiken, SC 29803.

The MG needs lots of work but is nearly rust free and very straight, and an excellent candidate to restore - probably as good as you can find for this type vehicle (I've owned LOTS of MGs).

Link to see photos of the blue coupe at: http://s119.photobucket.com/albums/o147/cweigleatbellsouthdotnet/

Thanks, Chuck "Mav" cwweigle@hotmail.com

I'll sweeten the pot - I also have a 1970 MGB Convertible, about same condition as the blue coupe, that I'll throw in the mix. Any interest out there?

Maverick in my opinion you will be better off selling your cars for cash and then buying a Whaler for cash. EBay is starting free to list and $125 if it sells. Also list on Craig’s List and Kijiji totally for free.

No doubt, but thought I'd give it a dance here first. I've made trades and deals like this before, one never knows who may be looking for something unusual. I figured with the boating market being pretty flat and cash being king, someone trying to sell their boat may be motivated to work a trade deal with cash. No luck here at all, may have to pull anchor and find another fishin' hole. I will probably go to ebay this weekend if not sold/traded. I've owned several Whalers, and will probably buy one by Christmas - had my hopes on a 22 Guardian (beat up USCG boat) in Chas, SC area....like I said, one never knows what kind of deal is out there in a very competitive market - even for the company of my favorite -the best, and unsinkable legend. I think trading is a good idea, but its almost as hard as finding a marriage partner. Everything has to be right.
