I have 13'Boston Whaler Sport that would make an excellent restoration candidate. I say this because the interior gel coat spridering and number of random screw holes is minimal. The boat has a 1969 motor which I don't know to be original with the boat or not (at least the years match). The transom has no drilled thru holes!
Chuck at BW said the boat was picked up at the factory by a Marblehead Marine from Marbelhead, MA on 5/21/69. The only option it was purchased with was a light package (but this is unfortunaltely gone from the stern.)

Someone has done some overzealous bottom patching that you can see in the pictures. I think they greatly covered even some minor damage with big smears of patch material.
If you look closely at the exterior gelcoat you can see where the old name of the boat was Nyack Kayak. From what I can find out the boat has been in Colorado for about 8 years.

I am located in the Denver Metro area. If boat does not sell by 9/25 I am going to part out. Thank you for looking.

3.5 month bump. Just setting in the garage nice and warm and waiting for a restoration. I have not parted boat the boat out yet.

I would reconsider parting out that nice original Whaler. If you can wait until spring, I'm fairly sure you will get your asking price. It's in nice condition for it's age, and you have done a good job of photographing it so buyers can see its actual condition. It's tough to sell boats in the winter, tougher in the mountains and even tougher when the economy is in the dumper. All that said, your package is worth the $1600 you are asking, it's just a matter of finding a buyer in your area. Craig's List is a pretty good way to find buyers, as well as any regional fishing websites in your area. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks Andygere for the affirmation on price and encouragement to keep trying to sell. I agree that it is a very tough time to sell a boat (season and economy). It seems like there are several older 13's on ebay right now. I love old whalers and I would not do anything which would jeopardize the ability to restore this one. I may pull out the wood interior and try to sell but that's about it. The longer she stays around, the more I want to keep her and complete the restoration. But I don't wany my 1973 Nauset commercial hull to get jealous.

But for anyone who wants to come experience some great powder skiing and go home with a Boston Whaler, this is a great opportunity!
