Since I have a more current Evinrude for my 13 footer, I'm going to offer my 1957 Evinrude FasTwin 18 outboard for sale. It's all original, and included the OEM tank and 2-part hose. It was stored meticulously every season by the original owner in Ontario. I've pulled the starter rope several times and the engine cycles normally, and compression is normal. I have no facilities for test-running it, however. One minor cosmetic blemish: a small part of one of the Evinrude medallions on the side is missing, and he rear cowling latch appears to be missing the locking arm. Additionally, the rubber starter handle had "bonded" to the cowl opening, and part of it has cracked away. It's still totally functional, however.

Okay, willing to consider any offers... Found out the lower spark plug hole will need a helicoil (partially stripped). That's about $15.00 at an auto store...

Along with whalers, I have an interest in classic wooden boats and belong to the Antique and classic boat society. I am sure someone there would be interested in your outboard if no one here is. I believe you can post for free: http://www.acbs.org/

Jhomeist: Thanks for the link. I checked, and you have to be a dues-paying member to post an ad. I'm kind of spoiled with CW Marketplace and Craigslist. I figure eventually someone will spot my ad and see it's pretty much a steal. I'm so busy renovating my '73 13er that I don't have any time to devote to this motor, and more or less just want it out of the garage...
