Hi all - Decided to put this MOTOR on the market.

This motor is currently on a pontoon boat, and I did consider repowering a 17 Whaler with it, but have since put that idea to rest. Today I started advertising the boat, motor and trailer as a package online, but since I figured one of you folks with a 17' Montauk might want a good motor, I will consider selling just the motor. It is part of my Dad's estate.

Price is $3500 for motor, prop, oil tank and controls. It's a 2005 Johnson 90 Special Saltwater Series, 90PLS, my Dad bought new (one owner), never in saltwater, spent one summer at lake in water in covered slip. Trim/tilt, all original papers receipts (paid almost $6,000 new), never skinned the skeg or prop, all original. Been run on heavy (extra) 2 cycle oil as break in period, ~21 documented and original hours on dealer-installed hour meter. Clear title in hand. It has been sitting about 5 months, but a few days ago I ran it in a barrel in the driveway for about 30 minutes, and it did great and smoothed out nicely after blowing out the oil.

Terms are cash and carry.

Yes, once the motor is sold, I will sell the boat and trailer, too, unless the whole rig sells as a unit.

Thanks, Chuck
