Low hour (70 hours) Mint Condition Boston Whaler 2007 205 Conquest for sale.

Specifics:

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o295/TheMaryAlice/whalerpics/profile. jpg

Condition is Mint, or as new.
Verado 175 Generation 1, which runs flawlessly.
Smartcraft DTS.
Many options, including full cushioning, swim ladder/platform, livewell, bimini top, full canvas enclosure for year round fishing, trim tabs, SH Quest DSC VHF, Garmin 540 Combination Sonar and Chartplotter. 8ft ratchet-mounted antenna.

She has just been serviced by my dealer, is out of the water and shrink-wrapped. The engine has an extended warranty, and is transferrable. There is no trailer.

She MSRP's at about $62kish, although I bought her for less obviously. I am offering her for sale for $40k. I own her outright with no loan, and am selling for my own personal reasons that have nothing to do with the boat. I encourage you to email me if you are seriously interested, and I will give further details and pictures. The buyer of this boat will be someone who is interested in this very versatile and well balanced model, and can't buy one new (discontinued) save for a few leftovers around, and would not mind buying one in as-new condition for substantially less. You can email me at whalersal at aol dot com.

For all my friends here, I still have my 130 Sport, and am not getting out of boating.

kline, I will email you later this morning. And yes, I have my first basset hound, Sandy, as well as another one named Yogi, and finally a third dog (norwich terrier) names Mac.

To answer some emailed questions, my boat is loaded, but it doesn not have a trailer. A quality one can be custom built for under $3,000.

Retire to Joisey...now there's a thought that would put a smile on a lot of faces out here in the SF Bay area.

Just jokin', Sal. I lived on the east coast for a number of years and visited NJ many times. Talk about a state which gets bad press! The Jersey shores, Princeton, and upstate NJ across the Hudson from Sing Sing in Westchester County NY are very, very beautiful, and Atlantic City brings back memories of some wild and crazy times. Then, of course, there's Newark...

Good luck with both sales. I'd love to be your boat broker on commission ;-)

Funny!I use a fixed $199 fixed service, and the boat goes on 20 different sites.

We'll try again in the spring. Regarding the house, as she is paid for, a great strategy in this time might be to cash our refi... and buy 3 bdr housing to rent out. Times like this are typically both dire and rife with opportunity.

I also have checked the internet and seen my boat with the same power or less, and less loaded, for anywhere from $49k used to $55k used. If she sells fine, and if not, I use her to escape from the hoards of revolting rebels in New York and New Jersey.

Also, in my prior post I meant to type cash-out refi.

You won't find a nicer boat and at a better price.

One bid $30k. Ugh!

Come on folks. Cant anyone get a loan from Bank of America or Citigroup? Or maybe free up some of all the excess equity in your home?

Sheesh. How about I steal one from the car dealers. Buy this boat, and get one boat free! (Blue 1yr old Bic Kayak).

I will also throw in hundreds of dollars of fishing equipment that you too can use to not catch fish!

I will throw in a full tank of gas!

I will buy you Gold Bullion form that rip off Austin Texas dude who keeps trying to peddle coins to the elderly (National Gold Bullion Reserve).

But wait... there's more....

PFD's... Waders.... And of course... a Coast Guard Package.

Plus act now and I'll throw in a Tivoli Songbook portable Ipod high quality audiophonic device.

You get the Conquest, The Bic, Poles, Rods, Expensive lures in a kickass case, gas, Gold, Pfd's, Crappy flares, a Tivoli SOngbook, and 2 beers of your choice.

Operators are standing by. Peace out.

$38,995

Anyone nearby looking for a great 20 footer package? Spring is right around the corner. The discontinued 205 Conquest is a nice boat. This is a loaded, turnkey, and serviced package, which also has warranties to give you piece of mind for years to come.

Wish that I could be on this one.
I've got to admire your salesmanship Sal.
Luck to your new beginnings.

$38,000

Springtime is a-coming... I can feel it. Ok, No I can't. But the calender says it is not far off. And if I splash her I keep her for another year. So it has come to this. Threats. If you don't buy my boat I will punish you and keep it. Take that.

Someone needs to buy this, so that I may take the proceeds, and use half of it to buy BGU (ETF replicating 300% times the Russel 1000) at 2:30 today, and half Monday morning at 9:35, thereby allowing me to buy the 235 Conquest.
Buoy posted 02-23-2009 03:29 PM ET (US)     Profile for Buoy  Send Email to Buoy
Sal - BGU was trading at $21.81 at 2:30 on 2/21, and $22.78 at 9;30 this morning. Today it's plummeted along with everything else. I hope you didn't get hurt with it.

Buoy.. I got out pre open..... Dodged a bullet. Thanks for asking!

Sigh. I may still own this boat come summer...

I found a buyer. We agreed on price. Great guy. He needed some financing. Despite great credit scores and a high amount down, he got denied credit. I feel good that our bailing out the banks, so that they can lend and stimulate, is working.

God bless us all.

Buckda posted 02-26-2009 08:21 PM ET (US)     Profile for Buckda  Send Email to Buckda
Perhaps he can put it on the Sal A Layaway plan. You promise to keep it insured and in the garage, he promises to pay storage...while he gets in a position to buy. You get free storage and he reserves a boat he likes....

Looks like it is up to us, instead of the government.

If you are in touch with him, you might suggest he contact a community credit union. They are much smaller fish than the mega-banks, but are in a very strong financial position, and are still loaning under their old, conservative terms (which is why they are still healthy!).

A friend of mine just bought a $50,000 Ranger bass boat. He says he hasn't taken delivery but says he can get a loan at the Golden One Credit Union in Sacramento....at 11% interest!!!!

I'm shorting AZO hoping it will be the next Krispy Kreme.

Good luck with the sale, Sal.

Credit Union pays out to depositers 2% and charges borrowers up to 14%. Nice spread.

TBT is a no-brainer long term if you believe treasury rates will rise from it's current lows.

NADA, which is usually low for Whalers, prices my boat with a 150 hp Verado (mine has a 175) and without the all-weather curtain set as follow:

Base Price
$30,380
Options
Power Boat: CANVAS
Bimini Top $460
Salon Enclosures $1,110
Power Boat: ELECTRONICS
GPS - Color Fixed Mount w/Cartography
$1,950
Radio / 25 Watt VHF - Fixed Mount $430
Power Boat: ENTERTAINMENT
Stereo - am/fm CD player w/4 speakers
$490
Power Boat: FISHING
Bait Tank - 22 Gallon $165
Power Boat: MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT
Porta Potti $215
Propeller / Stainless Steel (3-Blade)
$455
Swim Step w/Fold Down Ladder $380
TOTAL PRICE $36,035

I am selling for this price, and my boat has a more powerful motor, and a several thousand dollar curtain set. In addition I am including tons of goodies, and the new buy can know that the boat was babied and never fished hard, as the owner is so amazingly incompetent at fishing.
